Boswellia
Boswellia (also known as Indian frankincense) is a plant-based anti-inflammatory & analgesic that is used to;
- prevent & treat inflammation
- relieve pain & stiffness related to osteoarthritis & rheumatoid arthritis
- assist with discomfort & symptoms of respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis and other breathing disorders
3.9 million (1 in 6) Australians live with arthritis, with more than half of sufferers being under the age of 651. Arthritis Australia mentions Boswellia as one of ten complementary therapies with moderate to strong evidence in treating various forms of arthritis and arthritis-related conditions2.
Boswellia is often used as a natural substitute for anti-inflammatory medications (ie. ibuprofen).
It is recommended that 900-1200mg of Boswellia per day is required for therapeutic benefits to occur.
